Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Transports patients inside and outside of the facility to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner.
  • Assist patients in/out of home/office/vehicle.
  • Offers comfort and support to patients and their families.
  • Transports medical equipment, supplies and prescriptions to designated patients home and offices.
  • Respects and protects patient confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
  • Follows all protocols and procedures to ensure safe delivery of patients and medical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains a secure, clean and healthy work environment by adhering to the standards and regulations that are set forth by Valora and local, state and federal governments,
  • Routinely complies with the standards set forth by HIPAA.
  • Regularly participates in ongoing education to improve knowledge and skills.

Patient Transporter Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • 2+ years of driving patients or persons to appointments or other meetings
  • 2+ years experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impeccable organization and time management skills
