A leading biotech and pharmaceutical research organization is conducting a paid expert-evaluation initiative focused on improving how AI systems analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs.

We are seeking an experienced Payer & Market Access Expert with strong knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, gross-to-net dynamics, rebates, and formulary strategy. You will help create and evaluate structured rubrics designed to assess whether AI-generated analyses accurately reflect real-world payer and market access practices.

This is a paid pilot engagement with the potential for continued work as the program expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and critique evaluation rubrics for analyzing commercial drugs and pharmaceutical development programs.
  • Establish and pressure-test gross-to-net assumptions, including rebates, discounts, and other pricing considerations across relevant drug classes.
  • Evaluate whether assumptions regarding formulary placement, coverage, utilization management, and payer behavior accurately reflect real-world market access practices.
  • Assess payer and reimbursement considerations across different therapeutic areas and drug classes.
  • Apply market access expertise consistently across the pilot's assigned portfolio of drugs and development programs.
  • Identify unrealistic, incomplete, or unsupported assumptions and provide clear recommendations for improving evaluation criteria.
  • Help ensure rubrics are practical, rigorous, and aligned with how experienced payer and market access professionals evaluate commercial opportunities.

Core Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement, managed markets, payer strategy, or a closely related field.
  • Currently based in the United States.
  • Hands-on understanding of gross-to-net modeling, rebates, discounts, formulary tiering, and payer coverage dynamics.
  • Familiarity with biotech and pharmaceutical drug-development programs and commercialization processes.
  • Strong understanding of how payer behavior varies across drug classes, therapeutic categories, and commercial situations.
  • Ability to critically evaluate assumptions and determine whether they are commercially realistic and supported by industry practice.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain the rationale behind professional judgments.
  • Comfortable working independently and providing structured feedback within defined evaluation frameworks.

Engagement Details

  • Duration: Approximately 10–20 hours over a 1–2 week pilot.
  • Location: Fully remote, United States.
  • Engagement Type: Paid expert evaluation pilot.
  • Potential Extension: Strong contributors may have opportunities for recurring engagements as the program expands.
