Payment Operations Analyst | Bank | Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve customers' remittances queries in accordance with the established service level agreement and payment guidelines
• Work closely with business/service units, agent/correspondent banks to resolve remittance queries
• Process failed remittances in accordance with procedures without compromising quality during the process
• Adhere to agreed high service levels for turnaround time and industry/currency cut-off time
• Ensure proficiency over established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and compliance against all relevant policies, standards and guidelines
• Timely reporting and escalation of risk events/incidents, control issues, suspicious transactions and presidential complaint for appropriate action
• Contribute constructively toward improvement initiatives & projects in relation to risk management, process improvement, cost reduction etc.
• Ad-hoc duties assign by Team Manager

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• With at least 1 year of experience in banking operations, remittance operations, payment processing, cash operations, or a related field
• Good knowledge of remittance products and understanding of risk and controls
• Good verbal & written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
• Team player with collaborative attitude
• Possess good problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work with speed, accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and work under pressure independently
• Knowledge in intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (VLookUp, pivot table)
• Possess high computer literacy skill to adapt to the various systems used in cash operations
