PAYMENTS BUSINESS ANALYST
Summary
Business Analyst role bridging payments teams, engineering, and compliance to design secure payment flows and APIs while ensuring regulatory alignment.
This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements for payment products and solutions.
- Analyze end-to-end payment flows including collections, disbursements, and settlements.
- Define functional specifications for payment APIs and integrations.
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers to design payment system workflows.
- Support integration with banks, payment gateways, and fintech partners.
- Identify and document business rules for transaction processing and reconciliation.
- Assist in testing, UAT, and validation of payment functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payment regulations and standards.
- Support issue resolution related to payment processing and transaction failures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve payment efficiency and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in payments or fintech.
- Strong understanding of payment systems and digital financial services.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of system integrations and APIs.
