Payroll Administrator
Join our Brisbane-based payroll team as a Payroll Administrator and build your career in payroll within a supportive and experienced team.
This role will initially focus on time and attendance administration across multiple operational sites, including checking employee clock-on and clock-off records, data entry, investigating discrepancies and assisting with employee queries.
With hands-on training and support from experienced colleagues, you’ll progressively build your payroll knowledge and develop towards assisting with the wages component of our fortnightly payroll, which supports approximately 1,500 employees.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and highly detail-focused, with a positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn. Previous payroll, time and attendance or high-volume administration experience would be advantageous, but it’s not essential. Training will be provided across our payroll systems, including Oracle, ADP and Redview.

- Manage time and attendance administration across multiple operational sites, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
- Complete data entry, checking and validation, identifying discrepancies and following up missing or incorrect information.
- Maintain accurate employee, payroll and time and attendance information across relevant systems.
- Assist with employee and stakeholder payroll queries, working closely with the payroll team and site contacts to resolve issues.
- Support the shared payroll inbox and ensure enquiries are managed accurately and professionally.
- Follow established payroll processes and controls while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- With training and support, progressively develop your payroll knowledge and assist with the fortnightly pay run.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider payroll team supporting approximately 1,500 employees across the business.
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with employees and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with data and completing high-volume administrative tasks.
- Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Previous payroll, time and attendance, administration or high-volume data entry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with payroll or time and attendance systems is advantageous but not essential, with training provided.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee and payroll information with confidentiality and professionalism.
