Payroll and Benefits Administrator

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator supports the day-to-day administration of payroll, benefits, and HR operations activities. The role helps ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and HR transactions and provides excellent service to Kimco associates.
Key Job Responsibilities
Payroll Administration:
Support biweekly payroll processing, audits, and reconciliations to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll tax, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and 401(k) reporting requirements.
Assist with payroll funding, reconciliations, and payroll-related reporting activities.
Respond to wage verification requests and employee payroll inquiries.
Benefits Administration:
Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including enrollments, billing, funding, and reconciliations.
Assist with annual open enrollment, employee communications, and benefit-related transactions.
Coordinate payroll and benefits activity related to employee leaves of absence.
Respond to employee questions regarding benefit plans and programs.
HR Operations & Administration:
Support onboarding activities and communicate payroll and benefits information to new hires.
Serve as a primary contact for payroll, timekeeping, absence management, and benefits inquiries.
Maintain accurate employee data and process HR transactions in Workday.
Assist with vendor setup, invoice processing, and other HR operational activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a technology-enabled HR function.
Qualifications and Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting payroll processing.
Experience with Workday, ADP, or other HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
Knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
