Payroll/AP Administrator
T.E. Stevens Construction Payroll/AP Administrator
The Payroll / AP Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll in UKG and accounts payable activities in Deltek ComputerEase. This role maintains payroll and vendor records, manages deductions and garnishments, processes invoices and payments, and supports employees and vendors with professionalism and confidentiality. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
Essential Functions
Payroll Administration
- Monitor and review daily time entered by Superintendents and Foremen; make corrections as needed
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule using UKG
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and time discrepancies in a professional manner
- Process new hires and terminations in UKG and applicable personnel systems
- Maintain confidential personnel files and records of personnel actions
- Assist in the development and improvement of payroll procedures and best practices
Accounts Payable Administration
- Receive, review, and code vendor invoices for proper approval and job cost allocation
- Enter invoices into Deltek ComputerEase and prepare payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized vendor files and payment records
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and payment questions
- Assist the Controller with AP reporting and documentation as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of payroll, accounts payable, and/or human resources experience
- Proficient in UKG, Deltek ComputerEase, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Physical Demands
