JOB SUMMARY:

The Payroll Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's payroll department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists with reviewing, editing and processing payroll data in UKG systems.
2. Reviews payroll preview, downloads reports from the UKG
3. Processes New Hires in UKG.
4. Assists managers with overtime approvals in UKG Dimensions.
5. Conducts New Employee Orientation for payroll.
6. Reviews biweekly employee changes report after each payroll transmission. Changes may include salary, tax updates, direct deposit, address changes, etc.
7. Prepares monthly accrual reports.
8. Manages employee accrual accounts making necessary adjustments as
9. May assist with payroll functions including, processing manual checks, answering employee questions, fixing and processing errors.
10. Performs related duties as assigned.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma and two years of payroll related experience. Knowledge of UKG PRO or comparable HRIS, UKG Dimensions, Kronos Workforce Central, ADP Enterprise eTime or comparable timekeeping system.
