Broad Function:

We are looking for a hands-on Payroll & Compliance Specialist who will take responsibility for critical payroll, HR operations and statutory compliance processes.
The role will primarily focus on payroll processing and validation, attendance and leave management, Full & Final settlements, HRMS administration, PF/ESI/NPS coordination, statutory compliance, audits and employee lifecycle documentation.
The individual should have strong attention to detail and practical experience in handling payroll and statutory requirements while coordinating with employees, Branch HR, Finance, payroll partners, consultants and statutory authorities.


Roles and Responsibilities (not limited to):

Payroll & HR Operations:
  • Manage monthly payroll inputs including attendance, leave, LOP, incentives, reimbursements, new joiners, exits, deductions and F&F.
  • Validate payroll data with HRMS/attendance records and ensure accurate and timely payroll closure.
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll, attendance, leave, WFH, Comp-Off and punch issues.
  • Manage employee master data, new joiner enrolment and employee changes in ZingHR/HRMS.
  • Coordinate PF, ESI, NPS, F&F and payroll documentation, including inputs from Branch HR.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, reconciliation and MIS.

Offer Management:
  • Manage end-to-end offer generation as a regular responsibility, from selection approval to offer release and acceptance.
  • Verify candidate documents, current compensation and other required employment details.
  • Prepare compensation analysis, coordinate salary negotiations and obtain necessary management approvals.
  • Generate & release offer letters, compensation annexures & related documents, ensuring accuracy of all employment terms.
  • Follow up with candidates and recruiters for offer acceptance, joining confirmation and pre-joining documentation.
  • Maintain accurate offer trackers and approval records.

Statutory Compliance & Audits:
  • Manage and coordinate applicable PF, ESI, Gratuity, NPS and other HR/statutory compliances.
  • Maintain statutory records, documentation, returns and compliance trackers/calendars.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure timely statutory compliance.
  • Support internal, statutory, client and other company audits and ensure closure of observations.
  • Support labour-law matters, statutory inspections, notices, hearings and employment-related legal/court proceedings, whenever required.

Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations:
  • Manage employee documentation from joining through separation, ensuring HRMS and payroll records remain updated.
  • Coordinate onboarding, employee data changes, resignations, exit clearances and F&F documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain required HR, payroll and compliance MIS/reports.
  • Support other HR operational activities based on business requirements.





Requirements

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Business Administration, Commerce or related discipline.
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience across Payroll, Recruitment and HR Operations.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll inputs, attendance, F&F, HRMS and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience in offer closure, candidate document verification, compensation analysis and salary negotiation.
  • Working knowledge of PF, ESI and other applicable HR/statutory compliances.
  • Exposure to HR audits, labour-law matters and employment-related legal proceedings will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/ATS platforms; ZingHR/Zoho experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, attention to detail and follow-up skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
