Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing biweekly payroll, maintaining payroll records, reconciling payroll accounts, administering deductions, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This role collaborates closely with Finance and Human Resources to support accurate payroll administration and grant-funded program allocations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll.
• Review timesheets, PTO, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain employee payroll records, tax elections, and direct deposits.
• Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements.
• Support grant-funded payroll allocations and documentation.
• Administer benefit deductions and required wage garnishments.
• Prepare payroll reports and support audits and internal controls.
