The Junior Manager - Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) is responsible for leading Production Control, Materials Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transportation, Customer Service, and Logistics operations to ensure uninterrupted production flow and superior customer delivery performance.
This position develops and executes strategies that align people, processes, systems, and resources to achieve operational excellence, inventory optimization, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role is accountable for supporting business objectives while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and corporate policies.
Your Role:
- Lead production planning and scheduling activities to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Ensure accurate conversion of customer forecasts, releases, and EDI requirements into production schedules.
- Monitor production performance and identify risks that may impact customer deliveries.
- Coordinate production priorities with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure production capacity is aligned with customer demand and inventory strategies.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate material shortages, capacity constraints, and supply chain disruptions.
- Support engineering changes, product launches, and transfer programs to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage material planning activities to ensure availability of raw materials, components, and packaging.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when delivery, capacity, or quality issues arise.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining supply continuity.
- Coordinate supplier recovery plans and escalation processes for critical shortages.
- Ensure material requirements planning (MRP) parameters are properly maintained and optimized.
- Develop strategies to reduce working capital while maintaining operational stability.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, and system discipline.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, internal logistics, shipping, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO, traceability, and inventory management requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse productivity and space utilization.
- Ensure achievement of customer delivery requirements and service level expectations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related issues.
- Manage customer demand fluctuations and implement recovery plans when necessary.
- Lead communication with customers regarding supply risks and delivery recovery strategies.
- Support customer audits, business reviews, and operational meetings.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and delivery performance metrics.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Control, Planning, Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience managing customer requirements, forecasting, EDI releases, and production scheduling.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
- Preferred: Power Bi, Lean Manufacturing, Leadership & People development, Accountability, Decision Making, Communication, teamwork and collaboration
