Summary
Provides daily personal care and medical support to elderly residents in a retirement community, including bathing, dressing, and vital-sign monitoring, with on-the-job training available.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assists residents in preparing for and transporting to and from medical appointments, activities, and social programs.
- Checks residents' vital signs, measures weight and height, and records data as instructed; reports any variances to the Charge Nurse.
- Answers resident call lights promptly to attend to needs; frequently checks those who are unable to call for help.
- Assists residents to walk with or without self-help devices, as instructed.
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- No healthcare experience required - willing to train
