Summary

PCBA Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting SMT manufacturing equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). The role involves ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining product quality, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and achieving production targets while adhering to safety and quality requirements.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT production line equipment such as Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place and AOI Machines
  • Perform machine setup, loading, and unloading of PCB assemblies.
  • Monitor machine performance and production output during shifts.
  • Follow quality standards and work instructions to minimize defects.
  • Handle ESD-sensitive components as per ESD guidelines.
  • Record production data, downtime, yield, and quality issues accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and ESD control procedures.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements.
  • Participates in appropriate training to gain a basic understanding of several of business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions in the prevailing language spoken in the facility
  • Able to work with a trainer under close leadership

Education and Experience

  • Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
  • Experience in SMT/PCBA manufacturing is preferred.

  • Ability to stand in the duration of the shift since the work requires more physical movement.
