We are working with a national operator to source a PCC HVAC Supervisor. This is a contract role working on a residential basis. Please see details below.

Sohar, Oman
Working schedule
5 days per week / 10 hours per day or as per project requirements.
Key responsibilities
Pre commissioning & commissioning activities
- Supervise HVAC pre commissioning and commissioning activities at site level
- Execute approved HVAC commissioning procedures and method statements
- Ensure HVAC systems are mechanically complete and ready for commissioning
- Support functional testing, start up, and performance testing of HVAC systems
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving commissioning issues and punch points
HVAC systems scope
- Supervision of commissioning activities for:
- Air handling units (AHUs)
- Chilled water and DX systems
- Packaged and split HVAC units
- Ventilation, exhaust, and pressurization systems
- Ducting, dampers, louvers, and insulation
- HVAC controls and basic instrumentation
- Ensure systems are commissioned in line with design intent and operational requirements
Site supervision & coordination
- Supervise technicians, subcontractors, and commissioning crews
- Coordinate daily activities with construction, electrical, and instrumentation teams
- Interface with commissioning engineers and vendors during testing activities
- Participate in system walkdowns, punch listing, and punch clearance
- Support handover activities and system acceptance
HSE & quality compliance
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project HSE requirements
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe work practices are followed
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses
- Ensure quality documentation is completed accurately and on time
Reporting & documentation
- Maintain daily commissioning activity records
- Support preparation and completion of test sheets and commissioning dossiers
- Provide progress updates to commissioning engineers and supervisors
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical qualification
Experience
- Minimum 7–12 years of experience in HVAC installation, pre commissioning, and commissioning
- Previous experience on oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, or large industrial projects
- Site based commissioning experience within EPC project environments
- Middle East project experience is preferred
Technical skills
- Strong hands on knowledge of HVAC systems and commissioning practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, datasheets, and procedures
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA
- Practical troubleshooting skills during system start up and testing
