PE Teacher (Part Time)

Role Overview

Equistar International College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote students' physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and overall well-being. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging PE lessons while fostering healthy lifestyles and encouraging active participation in sports and physical activities.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and fitness levels.
  • Teach a variety of individual and team sports, fitness activities and physical skills.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness and lifelong participation in sports.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, leadership and good sportsmanship.

Student Development

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor students' progress in physical skills, fitness and participation.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students achieve their personal best.
  • Foster positive behaviour and respect during all physical activities.

Assessment & Administration

  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching resources.
  • Assess students' participation, skills development, and overall performance where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
  • Ensure all PE equipment is used safely and maintained in good condition.
  • Follow school policies and safety procedures during all lessons and sporting activities.

School Contribution

  • Support school sports events, inter-house competitions, sports days and other co-curricular activities when required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development sessions as requested.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote student well-being and holistic development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary or pre-university level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, and physical education practices.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Excellent classroom and student behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about promoting health, fitness, and student development.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within the Academic team.
  • Local school teaching experience is an advantage.

Working Arrangement

  • Part-Time position.
  • Teaching schedule will be arranged according to the academic timetable.
  • Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.
