Overview

As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist at Children’s Dental Health in Trexlertown, you’ll play a key role in helping children build a foundation of optimal oral health that lasts a lifetime. Working alongside our pediatric dentists, you’ll provide preventive care such as cleanings, exams, radiographs, sealants, and fluoride treatments for patients from infancy through adolescence, while teaching kids and their families healthy habits in a way that’s fun, engaging, and easy to understand. The ideal candidate is skilled, gentle, and detail-oriented, with a patient, upbeat personality that helps even the most nervous kids feel comfortable in the chair. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 am–5:00 pm, with occasional Fridays [approx. once a month]

Responsibilities

• Provide cleanings, scaling, and polishing for patients from toddlers to teens• Apply fluoride varnish and sealants, and take radiographs• Complete oral health assessments and review findings with the dentist• Help nervous kids feel safe and make every visit fun• Coach children and parents on brushing, flossing, and healthy eating habits at home• Keep patient records accurate and up to date• Work hand in hand with our dentists and assistants as one team

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License
• Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Patience, warmth, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children
