Currently available schedules:

  • Full time, 1.0 FTE, Day and Evening shift, 40 hours per week.
  • Part time, 0.8 FTE , Day and Evening shift, 32 hours per week.

The Peer Support Specialist provides flexible, community/program-based peer support services that are designed to promote the recovery, empowerment, and community integration of individuals who have severe behavioral health and/or substance use disorder challenges by facilitating opportunities for individuals receiving service to direct their own recovery and advocacy process, by teaching and supporting the development and utilization of skills needed to facilitate the individual's recovery, promoting the knowledge of available service options and choices and the utilization of natural resources in the community, and helping facilitate the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Certified Peer Specialist.
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • Experience in recovery for a minimum of 2 years.
