Peer Recovery Specialist (Registered-Part Time)

At Pyramid Healthcare in Radford we specialize in Substance Use Disorder Treatment. - Address:6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA
- Hourly Rate: $15-20/hour (based on experience and education)
- Schedule: Part Time 16-24 hours per week, with weekend scheduling
- REQUIRED: Registered Peer Recovery Specialist certification through the Virginia Board of Counseling at the Department of Health Professions
Job duties/responsibilities:
- Provide peer support services utilizing lived experience to support client recovery and engagement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members to support client care and recovery planning.
- Assist clients in establishing connections with community resources and ongoing support systems.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources as directed.
- Prepare and complete concurrent reviews and communications with referral sources as assigned.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of all client and collateral contacts in the medical record.
- Participate in peer record review processes and quality assurance activities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff across all disciplines.
- Keep supervisor informed of client progress, concerns, and service needs.
- Provide transportation for clients to access community-based resources and services as needed.
- Participate in emergency service coverage as assigned, including after-hours support, crisis planning, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: Required:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Registered or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification through the Virginia Board of Counseling at the Department of Health Professions required.
