Peer Specialist- PACT

What You Will Do:

  • Meet with new individuals served to orient them to PACT services.
  • Help individuals served develop wellness and recovery plans.
  • Act as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience with all team members while working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Help individuals served with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Support individuals served who are involved with the criminal justice system.
  • Support individuals served who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
  • Encourage independence, competency, and decision-making.
  • Initiate and support quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, and respect and dignity.
  • Provide outreach services to individuals served on a frequent basis as required by supervisor.
  • Act as primary implementer of strategies to meet Treatment Plan goals.

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle available for all working hours required.
  • Peer certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment, required.
  • Forensic peer certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment, required.
  • Minimum of six months' experience in human services preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to consistently update professional experience and learn new skills.
  • Ability to maintain job effectiveness under changing conditions.

Pay Range: $21.50-$24.00
