PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Responsible for providing recovery coaching services for participants enrolled at the Montgomery facility. The Peer Support Specialist will provide mentoring and/or coaching for clients, provide recovery resource connections, and assist the therapist in helping program participants find community resources. This is the perfect position for an individual with 2 years of continuous documented sobriety, who can facilitate and lead recovery groups and assist with program participants with solving problems directly related to recovery. The assigned work location is Montgomery, AL.

High school diploma or GED, preferred
At least two years of documented substance use recovery, required

Two years of continuous sobriety/active in recovery, required

Concurrent participation in clinical supervision by a licensed or certified QSAP I, required

CRSS certification (preferred) or must obtain certification within 120 days of hire, required

Local travel is required at least two times a week

Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation

Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included
