Position Summary:
The Market Manager (MM) role allows select highly skilled General Managers (GMs) to develop their skills leading one or two additional GMs while retaining direct operating control over their existing home restaurant.
Working in tandem with his/her Market Partner, the MM is responsible for all operational matters in the defined market, including but not limited to: hiring, onboarding and on-going development of the Management Teams, maintaining vendor relationships, maintaining operational standards, monitoring financial performance, and approving on-going restaurant maintenance and repair.
Essential Functions (beyond those as General Manager in their home restaurant):
* Responsible for the communication, training and, facilitation of all company initiatives, rollouts, marketing promotions, etc.
* Development of the GMs through guidance and direction, reviewing weekly:
* Manager schedules
* Hourly schedules and staffing levels
* Financial metrics and operating results
* Assists in the interview process for new Management candidates within the market
* Hiring and onboarding all new Management trainees for the Market and ensuring proper execution of related MIT training program
* On-going Management/Leadership development in areas including, but not limited to:
* Profit and loss statements
* Operational execution
* Labor and food cost
* Safety and sanitation
* Overall cleanliness
* On-going culinary review of food items and quality
* On-going Management Performance Appraisals for General Managers
* Direct liaison for all vendor relationships
* Responsible for ensuring through regular site visits that all restaurants in the market are executing to all Pei Wei specifications and recipes
* Implementation of strategic priorities/initiatives
* Reconciliation of P/L statements with General Managers reviewed weekly
* Completes quarterly Internal Audits/Restaurant Feedback Reports
* Responsible for approval of all restaurant maintenance/repairs/upgrades
* Provide coaching on resolving guest issues and address concerns escalated by General Managers
* Leverages SMG reporting to identify opportunities to improve guest service

Requirements:
Experience:
* 2 years of Pei Wei General Manager experience or 1 year of Pei Wei General Manager experience and 1 year General Manager experience outside of Pei Wei
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Bachelor's Degree preferred
