Penetration Testing Engineer

Salary: $3,500 – $5,000 per month

About the role

Join our dynamic team at Helios Software Pte Ltd (part of Simply Data Sdn. Bhd.) as a Senior Penetration Testing Engineer. In this full-time role based in Singapore, you will play a vital part in ensuring the security of our clients' systems and data. As an experienced cybersecurity professional, you will utilise your expertise to assess the vulnerabilities and identify potential threats to our clients' IT infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting comprehensive penetration testing assessments to identify security weaknesses in our clients' networks, applications, and systems.

2. Analysing test results and providing detailed reports with clear recommendations for remediation.

3. Collaborating with the development and IT teams to implement effective security measures and solutions.

4. Staying up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and industry best practices.

5. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the security team.

6. Continuously improving our penetration testing methodologies and processes.

What we're looking for

1. 1-2 years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking. Although fresh graduates is encouraged to apply.

2. Expertise in using industry-standard tools and techniques, such as Kali Linux, Nmap, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.

3. Strong understanding of network protocols, web application security, and cloud security.

4. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

6. CompTIA certification will be good to have.
