Pennsylvania School Counselor Certified Extended Substitute

North Allegheny School District is one of the highest performing public school districts in Pennsylvania and recognized nationally for its focus on academic achievement and growth, future preparation, school climate and student and staff wellness. Located just north of Pittsburgh, it is the largest suburban school district in Allegheny County with over 8,500 students. We are seeking a Pennsylvania Certified School Counselor to work as an Extended Substitute at North Allegheny Intermediate High School from March 2027 until the end of the school year on May 28th, 2027. The candidate must hold a Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification.

A Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification is required. Current clearances** are required and include:

• Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA Criminal Record Check
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment Physical and TB Test. *If you have already obtained these clearances, they must be within one (1) year of hire date.

*Placeholder letters for pending certificates from a college/university are accepted to begin the interview process until the certificate is received.

Compensation is as follows:

• Days 1-30 (non-consecutive): $120.00/day (for the current school year)
• 31+ Consecutive Days: 85% of Step One (1) in the collective bargaining agreement
