Based in West Footscray, this role is ideal for an experienced People and Culture professional who enjoys balancing strategic business partnering with hands on operational support. You'll work closely with leaders across a diverse workforce, helping to drive business performance, build leadership capability, manage employee and industrial relations matters, and lead key people initiatives.

Responsibilities
You’re a commercially minded People and Culture professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to deliver practical people solutions and meaningful business outcomes. Confident working across both operational and corporate environments, you can effectively manage competing priorities while building strong relationships at all levels of the organisation. As a strong communicator, you quickly establish credibility and connect just as effectively with frontline employees as you do with senior leaders.You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role
- Strong industrial and employee relations experience, including the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and employment legislation
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- Experience coaching and supporting leaders through complex people matters
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to operate in a fast-paced and evolving business

Requirements
Reporting to the General Manager - Business Partnering, the People & Culture Business Partner provides strategic, advisory, and operational support across our Shared Services, Manufacturing operations and Service branches throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.Based in West Footscray, this role is ideal for an experienced People and Culture professional who enjoys balancing strategic business partnering with hands on operational support. You'll work closely with leaders across a diverse workforce, helping to drive business performance, build leadership capability, manage employee and industrial relations matters, and lead key people initiatives.
In this role you will:
- Partner with leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned to business objectives
- Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance, talent, development and succession planning
- Lead employee relations and workplace matters, providing practical, fair and balanced advice
- Act as a key advisor on industrial relations matters, including the interpretation, negotiation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and employment legislation
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to leaders across a broad range of people and workplace matters
- Lead and contribute to cyclical People & Culture initiatives and projects, including remuneration reviews, talent and succession activities, workforce planning, engagement and organisational initiatives
- Drive the consistent application of policies, procedures and best practice people management approaches
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement practical, people focused solutions that enhance business performance and employee experience
- Develop strong relationships with leaders, employees and employee representatives across operational and manufacturing environments
