People & Capability Business Partner
Summary
HR business partner role advising leaders on people strategy, employee relations, and compliance while managing workplace disputes and performance issues in a retail company.
As a P&C Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing practical coaching and guidance to strengthen leadership capability, enhance team performance, and achieve business objectives. This is a hands-on Employee Relations role, managing a broad range of cases end-to-end while driving consistent, pragmatic and commercially sound outcomes.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Provide timely, practical advice, coaching and support to leaders to enable effective people decisions aligned to business objectives and values.
- Deliver training to leaders on key people capability topics, employee relations processes and wage compliance requirements.
- Lead and manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations, grievances, workplace disputes and disciplinary processes.
- Prepare and manage ER documentation, including allegation letters, outcome letters and consultation materials.
- Coach and support leaders in managing misconduct, performance, disciplinary matters and workplace conduct issues.
- Provide guidance and support for the management of workplace and personal injury matters.
- Contribute to key People & Capability activities, including engagement, talent and succession planning initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including Safety, Risk, Fraud and Forensics teams, to support business outcomes and compliance.
- Deliver reporting, insights and analysis on People & Capability metrics, initiatives and compliance outcomes.
- Identify and escalate risks, compliance gaps and improvement opportunities, while contributing to People & Capability projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 2-5 years of Employee Relations case management experience
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a high volume and fast-paced environment
- Proactive, solutions focussed and flexible approach
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business Management or similar
