People & Culture Manager
You manage and continuously develop the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through development, performance management, and offboarding. You advise employees and managers on HR and employment-law matters, lead recruiting processes, improve HR systems and processes, prepare monthly payroll, and manage HR documentation. You also lead People & Culture projects, oversee office operations and external providers, coordinate access management and workplace safety, and organize team events and internal company activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously develop the complete employee lifecycle from recruitment through offboarding
- Advise employees and managers on HR and employment-law matters
- Manage the complete recruiting process from workforce-needs analysis through onboarding
- Advise managers on performance, development, and employee retention
- Design, manage, and continuously improve performance-management processes
- Prepare, review, and manage employment contracts, contract amendments, references, certificates, and other HR documents
- Maintain and develop HR processes, employee master data, and HR systems
- Prepare monthly payroll in cooperation with the external tax consultancy
- Ensure compliance with employment-law, legal, and internal requirements
- Lead and contribute to strategic People & Culture projects in employer branding, employee experience, talent management, and organizational development
- Manage office operations and develop workplace and office processes
- Manage external service providers and administrative office matters
- Plan and implement team events, workshops, onboarding activities, and internal company events
- Manage access rights and coordinate security and access-control processes
- Coordinate workplace safety, legal compliance, documentation, and training records
Requirements
- Degree in human resources, business administration, business psychology, or comparable commercial training with relevant professional experience
- Several years of professional experience in human resources, ideally in a technology, SaaS, or start-up environment
- Strong knowledge of German employment law and comprehensive experience across the complete employee lifecycle
- Experience independently managing complex recruiting processes and working closely with managers
- Experience developing HR processes, structures, and People initiatives
- Strong advisory skills and confidence when working across all levels of hierarchy
- High initiative, entrepreneurial thinking, and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills
- Service orientation and hands-on approach
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Proficiency with modern HR systems and digital collaboration and recruiting tools
