People Operations Generalist
Reports to: Vice President Business Operations
Role Definition:
People Operations Generalist managing all day-to-day employee relations and payroll operations at the EvapTech, Inc. corporate office in Edwardsville, KS. Interface with parent company, Evapco, Inc., People Operations regarding employee policies and payroll activities.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources
  1. Employee Relations; Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, managing grievances, and resolving conflicts. This includes acting as a liaison between employees and management to ensure effective communication.
  2. Recruitment/Onboarding/Termination; Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads online and with recruiting partners. Coordinate onboarding for new hires and complete paperwork required for the termination process.
  3. Performance Management; Support performance review processes, including annual salary updates and provide necessary documentation. Help managers track employee performance, assist with feedback documentation and maintain performance and salary personnel files.
  4. Benefits Administration; Be the on-site contact for all benefit inquires and administer benefit policies per the Evapco Benefits package.
  5. Training and Compliance; Ensure adherence to labor laws and organizational policies. Maintain employee training records and ensure compliance with mandatory programs.
Payroll
  1. Labor Collection/Reporting; Match all incoming labor invoices, validate against job budget and submit to Construction Managers for review and approval.
  2. Payroll Documentation;
    1. Receive and review all payroll paperwork (I-9 forms, W-4, State Withholding Form, Direct Deposit form and Labor Broker Application before submitting to labor broker for processing.
    2. Input new employee information into labor broker Human Resources system.
    3. Receive original paperwork documents, copy for EvapTech records, and mail original forms to labor broker.
    4. Terminate employees as needed in labor broker Human Resources system.
    5. Provide unemployment claims received by EvapTech to labor broker.
    6. Transmit Workers Compensation claim information to labor broker and Evapco Legal Department.
  3. Weekly Payroll Management;
    1. Receive payroll timesheets.
    2. Check and correct timesheets as needed
    3. Review timesheet rates, hours, per diem and calculate travel bonus.
    4. Ensure all labor and payroll is completed and submitted to Evapco.
    5. Enter labor performed in ERP system for revenue recognition into appropriate accounts
    6. Accrue monthly payroll not yet invoiced by labor broker
  4. Employment Verification; Verify for valid employment and dates worked for check cashing purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
(Education, Experience, Skills required to qualify for this position)
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  2. Experience with human resources or employee relations with professional payroll certification
  3. Strong verbal and written communication, organization, labor laws/relations and payroll accounting skills
  4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and including MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, (Access preferred) and highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  5. Self starter, flexible, reliable, able to work with minimum direction as well as in a team environment
  6. Capable of handling high volume multiple tasks
Optional but Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in construction and/or engineering environments
  2. Experience in ERP systems
Position Requirements:
  1. Location; On-site at EvapTech, Inc. headquarters, 2644 S. 96th St., Edwardsville, KS.
  2. Work week; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
