About The Role & Team
Our People Operations team keeps the employee experience running smoothly behind the scenes, from the moment someone signs their offer to their very last day. Based in London and supporting our growing team across the UK, EMEA, and APJ, you’ll be the go-to person for the day-to-day operations that Ampliteers rely on: accurate data, timely answers, and processes that just work. This is a hands-on role for someone who is building their People career, loves using AI to work smarter, and wants to develop deep operational expertise while working closely with colleagues across Payroll, Benefits, IT, and the wider People team.
As a People Operations Specialist, you will:
Own day-to-day employee lifecycle transactions in Workday—new hires, job changes, and departures—across our UK, EMEA, and APJ population, keeping our data accurate and audit-ready.
Use AI tools to work faster and smarter, and help bring AI into everyday People Operations workflows to reduce manual effort and improve the employee experience.
Be a first point of contact for employee and manager questions through our ticketing system, resolving routine requests and knowing when to escalate the trickier ones.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics—including background checks and new hire setup—so every Ampliteer has a smooth first day and a clean exit.
Support international benefits programs and help keep our processes compliant with local employment standards across the UK, EMEA, and APJ.
Help document, maintain, and improve our People Operations processes and knowledge base so answers are easy to find and consistent for everyone.
Coordinate EMEA/APJ payroll with our provider and internal partners—onboarding, error resolution, and escalation—while navigating local employment law nuances across the Netherlands, France, the UK, and beyond.
Manage immigration and visa work in partnership with our immigration provider and counsel, including visa sponsorship and travel/offsite visa processing for the region.
Support our international benefits programs, and partner with Talent Acquisition on clean handoffs across offer letters, background checks, immigration, and PEO hires.
You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have:
Very comfortable using AI in your day-to-day work, and excited to find new ways to bring it into People Operations.
2-3 years of experience in a People, HR, or operations support role, with a preference for those who’ve worked in fast-paced tech companies.
Comfort working with employment laws and standards across the UK, EMEA, and APJ.
Strong familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred), background check processes, and international benefits programs.
A knack for juggling lots of moving pieces at once while staying detail-oriented, discreet with confidential data, and reliable in your follow-through.
At a minimum, you need to have:
The right to work in the UK.
Some experience in an HR, People, or operations support role, whether through work, internships, or similar.
Hands-on experience with an HRIS (Workday a plus) and confidence learning new tools quickly.
Comfort using AI tools and working across spreadsheets and systems.
Clear written communication and a reliable, organized approach to your work.
