A per-diem consultant designs and implements public safety communications systems (e.g., 911, radio, IP networks) for government clients, working up to 30 hours weekly on-site in Rome, NY.
Serving as a public safety communications specialist, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will be to research, collaborate, and contribute to identifying potential technology solutions starting with the initial client engagement. From there, you will progress through the service lifecycle by soliciting the client requirements, assessing the client’s current state, developing recommendations, developing notional design solutions, implementation oversight, validation and deployment of end-to-end solutions that meet customer requirements. You will perform post-launch technical activities such as assisting the implementation vendor(s) with troubleshooting, operations review, ongoing service development/optimization.
