We are looking for a Float - Per diem, Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (CWON) for our Upland Clinic. The CWON will provide expert-level nursing care with a specialty focus on wound care, skin integrity, and ostomy management across the organization. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership in education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This float, per diem position requires 2 days a week, Monday and Friday. You will float at least 1x a month to our Corona office. Pay rate\: 78.524/HR + milage when traveling to Corona office.
As a successful candidate, you will\:
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized wound, skin, and ostomy treatment plans.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in wound and ostomy care, supporting bedside nurses through just-in-time coaching, in-services, and formal continuing education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices in skin and wound management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development of policies and protocols related to skin, wound, and ostomy care.
- Contribute to the evaluation, selection, and implementation of wound and ostomy care products and supplies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
