Per Diem School Nurse (LPN)
Ready to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives? Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide pediatric care across charter schools in Pembroke Pines, FL, and support student health, safety, and well-being throughout the school day.
Position Overview
- Provide direct nursing care to students across charter school locations, including routine health assessments, medication administration, and management of student health needs.
- Support pediatric and pediatric diabetic care, including blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and implementation of individualized care plans as needed.
- Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies while maintaining accurate health records and communicating with appropriate school personnel.
- Promote a safe, healthy school environment by following established nursing protocols, infection control practices, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Completion of AHCA Level 2 background screening clearance required
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing and pediatric diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration
