Performance Marketing Manager

This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to step into an established paid media program and independently manage execution across paid search and paid social channels with minimal ramp-up time. They operate a digitally native, multi-brand e-commerce platform in the home improvement industry and have expanded their portfolio in recent years through new product launches and strategic acquisitions. The ideal professional is an experienced, hands-on operator with strong analytical judgment, deep advertising platform knowledge, and demonstrated experience incorporating AI into everyday marketing workflows.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity designed to provide coverage during a planned leave of absence. The engagement is expected to begin in early September 2026 and continue through December 2026. This is not an advisory or project-only position. The selected professional will take direct ownership of active campaigns, ongoing optimizations, reporting, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor budget pacing and adjust bids, campaign structures, targeting, and allocation based on performance data.
  • Manage paid media programs supporting both e-commerce revenue and lead generation objectives.
  • Oversee Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns, including Shopping campaigns, feed-driven structures, and automated bidding strategies.
  • Build, execute, and refine prospecting and retargeting campaigns through Meta Ads Manager.
  • Align campaign execution with full-funnel customer acquisition goals.
  • Apply AI-powered tools and automation to improve campaign workflows, bidding processes, analysis, copy development, and reporting.
  • Plan and execute ongoing A/B tests across campaigns, audiences, creative elements, and landing experiences.
  • Maintain an organized testing record and document conclusions, outcomes, and recommended next steps.
  • Prepare recurring performance reports with concise insights, business implications, and actionable recommendations.
  • Adapt reporting for detailed channel reviews and presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, creative, analytics, merchandising, and business teams to keep initiatives aligned.
  • Manage multiple campaigns and priorities independently without requiring close day-to-day supervision.
  • Document campaign structures, operating procedures, tests, and optimization decisions throughout the engagement.
  • Prepare complete handoff materials to support a smooth transition at the end of the assignment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, specifically within e-commerce environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant advertising spend, $8K - $10K+ in monthly paid media budgets.
  • Advanced practical expertise with Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Strong experience with Google Shopping, product feeds, feed-based campaign structures, and automated bidding.
  • Working experience with Meta Ads Manager, particularly prospecting and retargeting campaigns.
  • Previous responsibility for both e-commerce acquisition and lead generation campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of GA4, web analytics, attribution, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to evaluate campaigns using KPIs including ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, revenue, CPL, and acquisition volume.
  • Practical experience incorporating AI tools into marketing workflows, such as campaign analysis, copy iteration, automation, reporting, or optimization.
  • Proficiency creating reports and presentations with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical ability with the judgment to turn campaign data into practical optimization decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, documentation habits, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of existing live advertising accounts with limited onboarding.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an agency, freelance, consulting, contract, or fixed-term environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing paid media across a multi-brand e-commerce portfolio is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Looker, Power BI, Looker Studio, or comparable BI/data visualization platforms is preferred.
  • Exposure to Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads, or other emerging paid advertising channels is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative, merchandising, analytics, marketing, and leadership teams is valuable.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities, particularly when translating technical advertising results for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, execution-oriented approach and confidence making independent campaign optimization decisions.

Benefits

  • Full-time opportunity.
  • 100% remote work arrangement.
  • Fixed-term engagement from early September through December 2026.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of active paid media programs across a diversified e-commerce portfolio.
