Performance Measurement Analyst

MUST BE MICHIGAN BASED - HYBRID

GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Performance Measurement Analyst, you'll play a vital role in driving organizational excellence by developing and implementing comprehensive data collection and reporting programs. Working under the direction of the Project Manager or Director, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights for physicians, clinical leaders, hospital executives, the Board of Trustees, System leadership, and regulatory bodies. Your work directly supports strategic decision-making, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with diverse stakeholders to define project goals, identify critical information needs, and develop tailored solutions that drive measurable outcomes

• Communicate data insights and variances to leadership, translating complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations

Data Strategy & Analysis

• Design and recommend innovative measurement strategies that authenticate data integrity and ensure accuracy across all reporting

• Conduct advanced statistical analysis to support quality initiatives from both clinical and financial perspective

• Integrate data from multiple sources to develop comprehensive reports and analytical tools that inform strategic planning

Process Optimization & Innovation

• Develop and implement efficient data collection techniques, leveraging automation and streamlined processes to maximize operational efficiency

• Lead collaborative project management efforts, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and departments

Team Development & Knowledge Transfer

• Mentor and develop data support staff and quality/operations teams in best practices for collecting, analyzing, and reporting clinical information

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a health care, science or business focus is required.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years in a Healthcare or Business Setting, required.
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years in a Healthcare or Business Setting, preferred.
  • Expert in the use of Microsoft Office products – Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience in the use of a structured query language in a relational database (SQL)
  • Tableau, Power BI, SPSS
  • Experience in the use of HFHS Corporate Data Stores a plus  Experience in the use of a programming language also a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering and organizing data from disparate sources and presenting findings to leadership in a way that is useful for decision support, benchmarking, and quality performance tracking.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable in communicating alternative ideas with clinicians related to information options and solutions.
  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy
  • Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures
