Forest View is a welcoming service supporting seven individuals with learning disabilities in their home. Located just a two-minute walk from Marlborough town centre, the service enjoys beautiful views of Savernake Forest and provides a supportive, person-centred environment where people can live fulfilling and independent lives.
We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join our dedicated team. Whether you are seeking a permanent position with guaranteed hours or a bank role offering flexibility around other commitments, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people to achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and access opportunities within their local community. You will encourage positive self-image, support health and wellbeing, assist with decision-making, and enable individuals to live the life they choose.
You will also support people to develop and maintain relationships with family and friends, access community activities, attend clubs and social events, and explore hobbies and creative opportunities that are meaningful to them.

Shift Patterns Available
We offer a range of shift patterns, including:

Early shifts: 07:30 - 15:00
Late shifts: 13:30 - 21:00
Sleep-ins: 12:00pm to 12:00pm the following day
Waking nights: 21:00 - 07:30

Hours and shift patterns will vary depending on whether you join on a permanent contract or as part of our bank team.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or other support needs.
Have at least 6 months' experience as a Support Worker/Care Assistant or equivalent in a similar setting; or currently be studying health sciences subjects at undergraduate or postgraduate level (for Casual opportunity)
Be able to commit to regular work, ideally 20+ hours per week (for Casual opportunity)
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate a caring, patient and respectful approach.
Be confident supporting people with personal care and hygiene needs.
Have an understanding of person-centred support and non-verbal communication.
Be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Be flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights.
Be committed to promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion.
