West Midlands Fire Service is seeking two motivated and professional Personal Assistants to join our Governance and Strategic Planning team. Working closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in providing executive support, coordinating leadership activity and helping ensure important organisational priorities are delivered effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of the country's largest Fire and Rescue Services, supporting senior leaders through diary and workload management, governance coordination, stakeholder engagement and action tracking. - Coordinate meetings, events, visits and leadership activities.
- Manage correspondence, meeting requests and enquiries on behalf of senior leaders.
- Monitor deadlines, commitments and actions, ensuring priorities remain on track.
- Track actions arising from governance boards, meetings and leadership discussions.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact on behalf of senior leaders.
- Support the preparation and coordination of reports, papers and governance documentation.
- Provide general executive, administrative and organisational support across the Senior Leadership Team.
- Support a range of organisational priorities, projects and improvement activity as required.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and anticipate needs.

This role is based at West Midlands Fire Service Headquarters.
Whilst the role is primarily based on standard office hours, there will be occasions where flexibility is required, including travelling with, or on behalf of, Senior Leaders and attending meetings, events and engagements outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

We offer a friendly working environment and benefits including:
- flexible and agile working arrangements
- free, on-site gym facilities
- free, on-site parking.
