Personal Care Assistant - Trumbull CT

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and physically capable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to assist a female client in her home and accompany her to water aerobics at the local YMCA. The ideal candidate will be patient, respectful, reliable, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the client with daily personal care, including changing clothes and changing into appropriate swimwear.
• Provide assistance with transfers, mobility, and positioning as needed.
• Safely assist the client with entering and exiting the pool area, as appropriate to her mobility needs and the caregiver's training.
• Drive the client to and from the YMCA using the husband's vehicle.
• Accompany and assist the client during water aerobics outings.
• Help maintain the client's comfort, dignity, and safety throughout all activities.
• Provide companionship and support as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a responsible driving record.
• Comfortable driving the client's husband's vehicle to scheduled activities.
• Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds when required and safely assist with the client's mobility needs.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including dressing and changing assistance.
• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and respectful of client privacy.
• Prior experience in personal care, home care, or caregiving is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
