Personal Fitness Trainer
Personal Fitness Trainer – Snap Fitness Woodlands
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Club Manager / CEO
Location: Woodlands, Singapore
Read This Before You Apply
At Snap Fitness Singapore exceptional performance gets rewarded directly, in money, not in compliments. Our commission system means two trainers doing the same job can take home very different pay — and the one earning $8,000 a month didn’t get lucky. They coached well, they sold well, and they kept doing both, month after month. Your base salary itself grows with your track record, so consistency compounds.
The flip side: if you’re allergic to sales, or you believe a trainer’s job ends when the session ends, this role will frustrate you. We want people who are hungry — who see every gym orientation as the start of a relationship and every member on the floor as someone they could genuinely help. If that’s you, we will invest in you: certifications, education etc. and a real career path. We back our people harder than any gym you’ve worked at. We just expect you to give us a reason to.
About the Role
Snap Fitness Singapore is growing, and we’re hiring a full-time Personal Trainer for our Woodlands club. You’ll deliver personal training and group classes, own the member experience from first orientation onwards, and build your own book of clients — with our systems, our brand, and our investment behind you.
We’re open to experienced trainers and to newer trainers with real potential. What we care about is coachability, drive, and whether you treat this as a career. If you do, we’re prepared to fund your development — courses, certifications, and mentorship included.
What You’ll Own
- Your client book — building and retaining a base of personal training clients through orientations, follow-ups, and results that speak for themselves
- Coaching quality — structured, progressive programs tailored to each client’s goals: strength, fat loss, muscle building, or general health. Safe, effective, and demonstrated hands-on
- Group classes — designing and leading sessions that bring energy to the floor and turn class members into a community (and into PT clients)
- Member onboarding — gym orientations for new members: equipment, safety, basic programming, and making people feel they belong here from day one
- Progress and accountability — tracking client results with body scanners and the Snap App, running regular assessments, and adjusting programs so people keep improving
- Your numbers — monthly KPIs and sales targets. Our custom-built systems track your sessions, sales, and commissions transparently, so you always know exactly where you stand and what you’ve earned
- The standard — safety, cleanliness, and professionalism in the club, and presenting yourself as a walking advertisement for what you coach
How You Get Paid
Most gyms pay trainers a flat rate and hope for the best. We don’t. Our compensation has three parts:
- Base salary — your guaranteed monthly floor
- Performance bonus — tied to your track record. Sustained performance raises your base over time — you don’t reset to zero every month
- Sales & Execution commission — uncapped, calculated on your current month’s performance
The starting base is modest — deliberately. This role pays for output. Trainers who hit their targets consistently earn SGD $6,000–$8,000 a month, and because the base itself grows with performance history, your worst month two years in is better than your best month starting out.
Who You Are
The non-negotiables:
- A recognized Personal Training certification.
- You’re comfortable selling. Not tolerating sales — comfortable. You see introducing a PT package to someone who needs it as coaching, not pestering.
- A growth mindset in the literal sense: you want feedback, you act on it, and you’re building a career, not passing time between other plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you can make a nervous first-time gym-goer feel at home within ten minutes.
- First Aid + AED certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Strongly preferred:
- Fitness industry experience — though motivated entry-level candidates with the right attitude are welcome.
- Group class coaching experience.
- A track record of hitting sales or performance targets, in fitness or anywhere else. If you’ve been the top performer somewhere, tell us.
This Role Is NOT For You If…
- You want a fixed salary that stays the same whether you perform or not.
- You think sales is beneath a "real" coach. Here, selling well is how you earn the right to coach more people.
- You’re counting hours. We’re counting results.
- You need someone to chase you to follow up with your own leads and clients.
- You see this as a stopgap. We invest heavily in our people — we’d rather invest in someone who’s staying.
What We Offer
- A commission structure with real upside
- A base salary that grows with your track record — performance compounds instead of resetting every month.
- Funded education and development — certifications, courses, and mentorship. If it makes you a better coach or a better professional, we’ll usually pay for it.
- Custom-built tech systems that track your sessions, sales, and commissions transparently — no disputes, no guesswork about what you’re owed.
- 13th month Annual Wage Supplement.
- Workplace insurance coverage.
- Complimentary gym membership across all Snap Fitness clubs.
- A team where being exceptional is noticed, rewarded, and promoted — not resented.
Application Process
Application:
- Share your CV or LinkedIn, including your certifications.
- A short note (3–5 sentences) answering: tell us about a target you hit — in fitness, sales, sport, or anything else — and what it took to hit it.
Interview Round:
- Shortlisted candidates come in for an in-person interview at the club. We’ll send you a brief beforehand — come prepared.
