Personal Lines Account Manager Entry Level (Paid Training Provided)

Job Description

Lighthouse Insurance Agency is looking for a Personal Lines Account Manager to join our Fairfield, OH team — no prior insurance experience required. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in insurance: we'll provide hands-on training, support you through licensing, and pair you with experienced team members as you learn to manage a book of personal auto, home, and umbrella accounts.

We care more about how you show up than what's on your resume so far. This role rewards people who are naturally good with people, careful with details, and steady under pressure — the kind of person clients trust to get things right. As part of applying, you'll complete a short assessment that helps us understand how your natural strengths line up with what this role demands. It takes a few minutes, and it helps us have an honest conversation about fit before either of us invests more time.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Dental Insurance
  • Retirement Plan
  • Career Growth Opportunities
  • Hands on Training

Responsibilities

Learn to serve as a point of contact for personal lines clients, handling policy changes, endorsements, and coverage questions under the guidance of your trainer

Support renewal reviews — learning to spot coverage gaps and rate changes before they become surprises for the client

Learn to issue certificates of insurance and evidence of coverage

Assist with claims intake and help guide clients through the first steps after a loss

Build toward identifying cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities (auto, home, umbrella, life) as your product knowledge grows

Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in our agency management system

Communicate promptly and professionally by phone, email, and text

Work closely with your assigned mentor, producers, and underwriters as you ramp up

Follow agency documentation and compliance standards on every account touch

Requirements

No prior insurance experience necessary — full training provided

Willingness to obtain an active Ohio Property & Casualty insurance license within 60–90 days of hire (agency-supported)

Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a genuine, client-first tone

Comfortable learning new systems (agency management software, rating platforms, e-signature tools)

Coachable and eager to learn — you'll be trained, corrected, and mentored, and should welcome that

A team-oriented mindset

High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus, not required
