Description:
Aroostook Home Health Services is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) in ALL areas of Aroostook County. Aroostook Home Health is a non-profit organization offering a variety of home-based home health care services for Aroostook County residents since 1983. This position offers flexible scheduling up to 40 hours per week depending on applicant and client availability.
Position Summary:
Personal Support Specialist (PSS) is primarily responsible for providing direct assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL), supporting clients in maintaining greater independence in their homes.

Essential Functions:
- Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring and toileting.
- Assist clients in preparing for personal care (setting out clothes, grooming items, bath prep).
- Perform light housekeeping: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, washing dishes, cleaning stove and refrigerator.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
- Offer respite care and assistance with other tasks outlined in the client’s plan of care.
- Maintain client confidentiality and HIPPA
- Utilize Electronic Visit Verification to log all client visits and completed tasks
