Salary: $23.34-$27.06/hour (commensurate with experience)

Location: West End Communities (Garden River First Nation & Batchewana First Nation, ON)

The opportunity: Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services provides primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services, and health promotion services to community members across the seven First Nations of the Mamaweswen North Shore Tribal Council.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our Home and Community Support Services team to provide in-home care to Garden River First Nation and Batchewana First Nation.

Under the direction of the Director of Home and Community Support Services, and the clinical supervision from the Home Care Service Manager for the Assisted Living Services, this position is responsible to ensure a continuum of care for vulnerable, high-risk seniors as per the care plan. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary and culturally grounded care environment that values holistic wellness, relationship-building, and community-centered care.

What you Bring:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized accredited program; with relevant experience in working in a community-based and home care setting is an asset.
  • Problem-solving, good judgement and decision-making skills and ability;
  • Ability to prioritize professional duties, manage multiple patients, and efficiently organize workload;
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills;
  • Experience in electronic charting is an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide a driver’s abstract.
