Personal Support Worker

This Opportunity:
We are currently looking to fill 1 Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) position, internally known as Support Services Attendant (SSA), in our Assisted Living Seniors Program in Sudbury, ON, Northeast.
Wage: $19.24 per hour
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Schedule: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with various hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:

Travel between client locations as required

Personal care

Lifts and transfers

Rising and retiring

Bowel and bladder procedures

Meal preparation and feeding

Range of motion exercises

Other light housekeeping duties

Perform duties in a professional manner that respects the dignity and privacy of clients and maintains client and staff health and safety.

Work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, which may vary between locations.

Qualifications:

PSW Certificate would be an asset.

Experience working with older adults is an asset.

Experience, knowledge, or understanding of Independent Living or client-directed care is an asset.

Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience working with people with physical disabilities.

Knowledge and ability to perform transfers, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.

Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

French-English bilingualism is an asset.

Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required to travel between client locations.

Paid mileage and paid travel time.
