Personal Trainer (Short-Term Contract)
Description
Careerflow Human Data Labs partners with AI companies to bring real-world professional expertise into their products.
We are working with an AI research organization that is building systems capable of handling long, multi-step professional work. To do that well, those systems need to learn from how expert practitioners actually operate, not from generic online content.
We're hiring experienced personal gym trainers to document one long-term task from their own work in structured detail: the triggers, the steps, the decision rules, the tools, the stakeholders, the edge cases, and the judgment calls that don't appear in any playbook.
What you will do:
Choose one recurring task from your own work that spans days to months (for example, taking a new client from consultation through a completed 12-week program and reassessment)
Complete a structured online form documenting that task end to end, at a level of detail where someone who has never done the job could follow it
Cover the specifics: exact thresholds, scoring criteria, escalation paths, message channels, tool access, failure modes
This is expected to take approximately 10 hours of total time and can be completed in multiple sittings.
If you do well, you may be extended to provide multiple such submissions.
Requirements
3+ years training clients, currently or recently practising, with an active or recent client roster
Certified (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent)
Experience with US-based clients
Comfortable writing at length and being precise about numbers and thresholds
Available for 8-12 hours of focused work over a 7-10 day window
Process
The entire process is intended to be quick and simple, taking less than an hour or two of your time, with quick results.
You will need to go through an AI-driven interview (10-15 minutes) explaining your general background
You will need to perform a small assessment that mimics the actual work (~30 minutes)
Final review by in-house team
