Personnel Security Support Specialist

Summary

Manages personnel security programs for SCI operations, including clearance processing, access control, training, and compliance reporting in a government or defense context.

The Personnel Security Support Specialist will independently execute a wide range of personnel security functions supporting SCI operations, security documentation, personnel access management, clearance processing, training coordination, security reporting, and compliance activities. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource in maintaining personnel security programs and supporting secure facility operations.
  • Conduct security indoctrinations and debriefings as required.
  • Maintain and audit SCI personnel security folders.
  • Process Interim SCI requests in support of mission requirements.
  • Process and track foreign travel documentation and update appropriate security systems.
  • Create and destroy Access Control Security badges associated with SCI access activities.
  • Maintain badge rosters and facility access authorization documentation.
  • Process visit requests for personnel traveling to SCI facilities.
  • Draft, submit, and track security incident reports.
  • Train Special Security Representatives on security responsibilities and procedures.
  • Manage annual SCI security awareness training and maintain associated records.
  • Process and manage Security Information Files and related personnel security documentation.
  • Update and maintain Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with Government security offices and related security stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and disposal of SCI materials in accordance with applicable directives and regulations.
  • Support internal and external inspections and maintain required documentation.
  • Draft and submit annual personnel security reports.
  • Maintain compliance with required personnel security training and directives.
  • Knowledge of personnel security processes and procedures.
  • Experience supporting SCI operations and security programs.
  • Familiarity with clearance tracking, personnel access management, and security documentation.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, auditing, recordkeeping, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple Government security stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Intelligence Community directives, security regulations, and security awareness programs.
