This is an opportunity for a Pleno/Sênior QA professional to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and evolution of digital solutions within the banking sector. You will work across functional, integrated, regression, acceptance, API, Web, Mobile, and contract testing. The role combines hands-on testing with test strategy, defect analysis, documentation, and continuous quality improvement. You’ll collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Business teams to prevent defects and strengthen delivery quality. Accountabilities:
- Plan, design, document, and execute functional, integrated, regression, and acceptance test cases and scenarios, ensuring appropriate coverage based on functional and technical requirements.
- Define testing strategies, support acceptance criteria validation, and contribute to quality planning throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defect resolution, while analyzing logs and technical information to support effective troubleshooting.
- Validate functionality across development, testing/homologation, and production environments, ensuring solutions meet expected business and technical requirements.
- Perform API and system integration testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent technologies.
- Execute SQL queries against relational databases to validate data and system behavior, working with Oracle, SQL, and DB2 environments.
- Develop and execute Web, Mobile, API, and contract tests according to project requirements, while contributing to test automation initiatives.
- Maintain test documentation, evidence, reports, and quality-related records, ensuring information is clear, accurate, and accessible.
- Collaborate with Development, Product, and Business teams to identify risks, prevent defects, improve processes, and strengthen the quality of delivered solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, tools, methodologies, and automation, proactively identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably with hands-on experience in banking or financial systems.
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing functional, integrated, regression, acceptance, API, and integration tests.
- Strong understanding of software quality processes, testing methodologies, test strategy, acceptance criteria, and defect management.
- Intermediate knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle, SQL, and DB2, with the ability to perform queries for data validation.
- Practical experience with Jira and agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience testing APIs with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools, as well as familiarity with log analysis and technical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of test automation and a willingness to contribute to scalable and repeatable automation practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying technical and regulatory risks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders while managing priorities and maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Rest-Assured, Selenium WebDriver/Grid, Allure Framework, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing, API and contract automation, or certifications such as ISTQB/CTFL, CTFL Agile Tester, CBTS, or related credentials is considered a plus.
