Schedule: Full-Time | Evenings | 11:30am–11pm | Wednesday-Tuesday
Sign-on Bonus: $10,000
Medication Order Review and Safety: Interpret and evaluate inpatient physician orders, check for therapeutic appropriateness, correct dosages, drug interactions, and contraindications to prevent adverse events.
Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Partner directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams during rounds and care planning to optimize patient drug therapies and improve health outcomes.
Compounding and Quality Assurance: Accurately compound, prepare, and verify specialized sterile and non-sterile inpatient medications—such as intravenous (IV) admixtures—following strict safety and hospital guidelines.
Clinical Oversight and Impact: Monitor active patient drug regimens, perform medication reconciliations, and guide hospital staff on rational, evidence-based medication usage to elevate overall care quality.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required. Master's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
Additional Preferences:
- 2+ years of experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
- A working knowledge of computers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, in-person and via phone
