About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Hospital Pensacola, Dir of Clinical Support. Its purpose is to dispense medications, to provide information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications, and to act as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

Responsible for the clinical pharmacy functions of the military treatment facility (MTF).

Monitor the dispensing of all pharmaceuticals in the MTF and allied facilities.

Develop, with the attending physician, pharmacotherapeutic regimens for especially difficult or complex cases.

Prepare and conduct or oversee training of physicians, pharmacists, and other health care providers on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.

Prepare and dispense prescriptions to inpatient and outpatients.

Responsible for evaluation, transcription, and interpretation of a provider’s prescription order for appropriateness of drug therapy.
