Position Overview

The Pharmacy Cashier serves as an important part of the pharmacy team, providing exceptional customer service and assisting patients with checkout, transactions, and general pharmacy support.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide friendly, professional customer service.

• Process customer purchases and prescription transactions accurately.

• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system.

• Accept cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.

• Assist patients with questions regarding purchases and direct pharmacy-related questions to the appropriate pharmacy staff.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.

• Assist with stocking merchandise and maintaining inventory as needed.

• Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.

• Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.

• Pharmacy or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
