Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Receive and process prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies.
• Verify patient information and prescription details to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
• Maintain patient records and pharmacy documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Operate pharmacy equipment and software systems to process prescriptions and manage inventory.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety practices.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Work Environment

This position typically works in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, requiring standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of supplies. The role demands adherence to safety and hygiene standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.
