About the Role

Intersect Consortium is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication dispensing, patient counselling, drug inventory management and the delivery of quality pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense, label and package prescribed medications.
• Educate patients on medication dosage, usage, side effects and storage requirements.
• Review prescriptions and over-the-counter medications for suitability.
• Provide information on drug interactions and proper medication use.
• Monitor patients' responses to medications and follow up on treatment effectiveness.
• Participate in drug procurement and inventory management.
• Conduct drug assays to verify purity, strength and other quality parameters.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles, inventory records and registries.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and controlled substance procedures.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy operations and service delivery.
