About the Position
The Pharmacy Technician IV prepares compounded sterile preparations in the pharmacy cleanroom. They maintain a sterile environment in the cleanroom by garbing, cleaning, and practicing according to procedures that align with sterile pharmaceutical compounding standards.
Overview of Responsibilities
• Prepares patient- specific compounded sterile preparations (CSP’s) inside
cleanroom using proper sterile technique
• Uses dispense queue/prep/check technology to safely prepare patient-specificCSP’s
• Batches CSPs inside cleanroom using proper sterile technique
• Uses compounding & repackaging technology to safety prepare batched CSPs.
• Maintains a sterile, safe, and orderly work environment at all times
• Uses Omnicell technology
• Restocks inventory
• Processes returns
• Documents tasks in compliance software
• Completes and passes sterility testing initially and every 6 months thereafter.

Education & Experience
Minimum education required: High school diploma, or equivalent.
Minimum experience preferred: Previous pharmacy experience.
Licensure & Certification
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board license (PTCB) must be obtained within 5 years of accepting position.
Ability to obtain Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
